Synopsis:
The police stand before a riddle: Within one week three children have vanished without a trace, and there are no ransom demands. This arouses the curiosity of TKKG. The thrilling, pacey detective story takes its course as Tim, Karl, Klößchen and Gaby undertake their own investigations. They find out that the kidnapping has something to do with the invention of their schoolmate Kevin, the award-winning “Mind-Machine”, which strengthens the activities of the brain through electrical impulses. In the empty standing house of Kevin’s parents they discover the proto-type of this spectacular machine, but no trace of Kevin. Moreover, TKKG has noticed that they are already being observed by dubious guys on motorcycles. The school children suspect their teacher Manek to be in league with the kidnappers. Yet, of all people it is he who provides the crucial clue: Weltmann, his former colleague had lured Kevin with false promises. The vanished children are to serve as guinea pigs for developing further models of the “Mind-Machine”, with which Weltmann wants to breed super intelligent conformable children. In a thrilling show-down, TKKG succeeds in foiling Weltmann’s scheme. (Lucas Film Festival 2006)
