Synopsis:
It just doesn’t get any less cool than this – Thomas lives in a small Danish town and is not exactly the most popular boy in school. His father is a policeman; his mother is a vicar who teaches the confirmation classes. No wonder his only friend is his little brother, and that Vikki, his secret crush, barely knows he exists. After he and Vikki are humiliated in gym class, Thomas sees his chance. He suggests they blow up the teacher Mr Preben’s bicycle. The plan seems to work – Thomas is suddenly the man of the hour with Vikki and her clique. Vikki’s older boyfriend is the only one who’s less than happy to see her and Thomas growing closer. Director Mads Erichsen makes skilful use of the provincial setting to tell the story of young people searching for acceptance and love – and the problems they encounter along the way.
