Comments:
"There were many films that caught our attention on this festival, but one of them was standing above them all, so the decision about the Don Qujote Award was not really hard. It was harder to choose our special mention, because among of the rest of the films at least half of them were worth of this honorable “second place”. Finally we decided on “Starring Maja” - the film about courage to find your own, special way through life and being positive and optimistic, even when world seems to be against you, concentrating on your look only, instead on your inside.
And the Don Qujote Award we decided to give unanimously to the British film “Fish Tank” - multidimensional and metaphorical, although still set clearly in the clearly in the realistic world, story about love and deception, and most of all hope." (FICC's Jury at Kristiansand 2010
