Synopsis:
A group of 15-year-old boys live in a very unusual neighbourhood: the traumatology department of a hospital. With their joy Miguel-Àngel, Izan, Dani and Jorge, called "Les Pelones", manage to challenge the cruelty of fate and make their convalescence in the orthopaedic ward of a hospital bearable. They realize how important friendship i, but as well as their reaffirmation as a group each of them with his own identity reacts to the situation; Miguel-Àngel's supposedly self-sufficient aloneness, Jorge's fear of the diagnosis, Izan's indelible memories, Dani's emotional anxieties ... Humour is the vital force that "Los Perones" use to change their fate.

Comments:
“It was an incredibly moving film, as we were reminded that people with cancer can also have a good life in spite of being ill. It was a really good idea to make the film, as it shows people with cancer that there is a light in the hours of darkness. The actors in the film manage convincingly to represent the characters, and this is one of the many reasons the film has become a masterpiece. And an incredibly beautiful and lovely film with many touching scenes.” Children's Jury Buster Copenhagen 2004

"‘Station 4’ is about teenagers who suffer from cancer. The film shows how four sick boys cope with their fate. With the tricks they play, they bring entertainment into the dull hospital routines – and make us laugh. We liked it that cancer and death were not only treated seriously but at the same time with some black humour. The film not only scares you but also encourages you. It shows that you can still make the best out of a miserable life. Not only the young main leads were very convincing in their play but also the minor role of the bulimic girl seemed very authentic. It was also very realistic to show the legs of the boys – a master performance of the actors and make-up artists alike." (Filmfest Hamburg, Children's Jury)
