Sweden, 2002
Director: Donell, Eric & Söder, Martin
Age recommendation: 14 years and up
Synopsis:
Andrew works as an illustrator and his life is pretty ok. But he has a big secret that makes him shy, especially with girls. When his parents died in an accident he moves to a small town to hide away from the world. But one day there he meets Sannah, a young athlete, who gets curious about this remarkable guy. Andrew truly believes that Sannah would never like him if she knew him or his secret, so he decides it is better they never meet for real. But Sannah does not give up so easily. (Catalogue Chemnitz 2003)
Comments:
“Outside your door” is a very good film about love and life, without being sentimental or artificial. Nowadays, inner values receive less and less attention. This is why we really enjoyed the happy end of the film.” (Chemnitz 2003, Young People's Jury)
