QUEEN OF NIENDORF was the winner of the ECFA Award 2018 at the Ciné-Jeune Festival in the French L’Aisne region. In this German film, by Joya Thome, 10-year-old Lea witnesses how her friends, over the course of one summer, all change into surrogate grown-ups. Fest of Fests is a cultural network funded by the Region of Attica, Greece, and implemented by the Athens-based Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. First ECFA Short Award in Oberhausen
ECFA’s first Short Film Award was handed out at the Oberhausen Int. Short Film Festival to LISTEN, a short documentary by Dutch director Astrid Bussink about the Kindertelefoon (Dutch children’s telephone helpline).
