Oberhausen Festival discusses active participation

Involving young people in film festival programming is the first and crucial step in active participation of the target audience. Therefore, this year the Short Film Festival Oberhausen is organising a panel discussion under the title “Creating Programmes Together”.

This expert discussion explores how to actively engage young audiences, from programming to film selection. The aim is to empower children and youngsters to become not just viewers but also creators of cinematic experiences. Beyond young people curating or moderating film programmes, there are numerous other methods to involve them. Children and youth film experts will exchange experiences and develop new ideas. The plenary session and subsequent get-together are scheduled for Friday 3 May (3:00 PM) in Oberhausen. For further information, please contact Samina Gul.

Furthermore the upcoming children’s & youth film competition at the 70th Int’l Short Film Festival Oberhausen will offer an exciting selection of 35 films from 19 countries.
