For his achievements with ECFA and Jekino / JEF (Belgium) and his efforts in the field of European Children’s Film Culture, ECFA’s Secretary-general Felix Vanginderhuysen received a special Ehrenschlingel ‘lifetime achievement’ award during the 22nd International Schlingel Film Festival. Felix Vanginderhuysen was one of ECFA’s co-founders in 1988 and has been the driving force behind the organisation as General-secretary ever since. “I’m really honoured to be one of the few non-German person to be given an Ehrenschlingel. With other international awardees like Zdeněk Miler and Vacláv Vorlícek, it feels like I’m in great company. This is a wonderful acknowledgement that makes me very proud,” Vanginderhuysen stated. ECFA wants to thank the Schlingel Festival for their generous commitment.
