ECFA Short Film Award at the Play Festival in Lisboa 2025: “Gilbert”, directed by Arturo Lacal, Alex Salu Jordi Jiménez, Spain, 2024.

 


ECFA Awards 2026 for Best European Children’s Films

On Saturday February 14th Europe’s leading children’s film organisation ECFA announced the winners of the three annual ECFA Awards for Best European Children’s Film, Best European Children’s Documentary and Best European Children’s Short Film.

Winner of the prestigious Best Film Award was “Living Large”, directed by Kristina Dufkova, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, France, 2024.

The Documentary Award went to “Circusboy”, directed by Julia Lemke and Anna Koch, Germany, 2025.

And the Short Film Award was taken home by “Hannah & the Crocodile”, directed by Lore Mechelaere, Belgium, 2024.

Awards were handed out in Berlin during the Berlinale, in a festive ceremony, celebrated with the international young audience film community.
