MOTHER, I LOVE YOU

In 2014 ECFA (European Children’s Film Association) organized the fourth edition of the ECFA Award, the election of the Best European Children’s Film of the Year. Throughout the year 9 different children’s film festivals (from St Quentin, France to Pyrgos, Greece) hosted an ECFA Award jury and added one title to ECFA’s shortlist.

On February 7th, 2015 the award was given out in a ceremony during the Children’s Film Community Party (Treffen der Kinderfilmszene) in the International Berlinale Film Festival, at the Homebase Lounge in Berlin. After a close competition the ECFA Award 2015 went to MOTHER, I LOVE YOU, by Janis Nords (Latvia). Producer Alise Gelze (Tasse Film) and world sales agent Jan Naszewski (New Europe Film Sales) came to collect the price at the ceremony.
MOTHER, I LOVE YOU had its world première at the Berlinale 2013 within the Generation programme and was awarded all over the world in numerous festivals.
