
Since 2004, the prestigious Frankfurter Buchmesse (October 10-14th) annually honours outstanding literary adaptions for the big screen with the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards. Warsaw Kids Film Forum has announced the full selection of projects to be presented during the September 2018 edition.
The Russian ‘KinoOstrov’ film festival (June 1-18th) celebrated 9 years of children cinema in Saint Petersburg, under this year’s moto “Point on the map”. 
Registration for the Warsaw Kids Film Forum 2018 is open. The 2nd edition of the international pitching forum for young audience films and series will take place on September 26-28, during the 5th Kids Film Festival.
Fest of Fests is a cultural network funded by the Region of Attica, Greece, and implemented by the Athens-based Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. Aspiring to involve all influential international children and youth film networks, festivals and educational organisations as well as the academic world, the aim of Fest of Fests is to become a community of practice, collaboration of innovative ideas, supporting the formation of ‘screenwise viewers’ through existing pathways regarding media literacy. 
VAF, the Flemish Audio-visual Fund, in cooperation with JEF and the national children’s TV channel Ketnet, has launched an initiative that could cause a major breakthrough for young audience documentaries in Belgium.
