Art-kino reached out to more than 100,000 children
Art-kino (Rijeka, Croatia) has reasons to be proud. Their “School at the Cinema” programme was recently adapted to the needs of pupils watching online, and after 12 years rounded the cape of 100,000 participating children, young people, educators and teachers.

WELLEN AUS LICHT wins at doxs festival
In the doxs festival, the German film WELLEN AUS LICHT (Samuel N. Schwarz) took home the ECFA Award. The film tells about Frida, who finds peace in the forest where a steady stream of sounds and smells brings balance to her senses. The city, on the other hand, is hectic and loud. “Sometimes my eyes hurt because I see too much.” Frida, 12 years old, is almost completely blind.
SLOTH awarded at Biennial of Animation Bratislava
Despite all restrictions, the juries in the 15th Int’l Film Festival of Animated Films for Children & Youth of the Bratislava Biennial of Animation still enjoyed and discussed a selection of animated films from around the world.

Three Award winners at Filem’on
At the very last moment, the 14th edition of the Filem’on Festival for Young Audiences (Brussels) had to change its course drastically. Everything was done to recreate a virtual festival feeling. Handing out ECFA awards in all three categories, Filem’On was excited to announce the 2020 festival laureates!
MY LITTLE SISTER awarded in Schlingel
Under specific circumstances, the Schlingel festival still managed to welcome 13,000 visitors inside local cinemas. An online platform was set up for international juries. One of them was the ECFA jury, giving the award to the Russian film MY LITTLE SISTER by Alexander Galibin.
