Chuskit has a very simple dream – going to school. That dream is cut short when she is rendered a paraplegic after an accident. She’s confined to life indoors in the company of her strict grandfather, who tries to make her understand that school can’t handle her needs. As life at home gets harder, she starts rebelling against the traditions of her family members and other elders in her remote Himalayan village.


The LUCAS dokt! project invited young people to document the 41st edition of the LUCAS – Int. Festival for Young Film Lovers in Frankfurt, Germany. Mentored by photography artist and film educator Urs Tilmann Daun, students got to know the production process of a film and implemented it in various steps into their own work.
Formerly known as VAF Třeboň, this pitching competition is open for animated projects in development in three categories: Short films, series/TV specials and feature films. ECFA member CEE (for Central & Eastern European animation) welcomes you from 6-8th May in the charming Czech city of Třeboň.
The first ECFA Award given in 2019 was also the first ECFA Award ever given out in Russia. In the Spirit Of Fire Festival in Khanty-Mansiysk the award went to the Russian film IT’S NOT FOREVER (original title: ETO NE NAVSEGDA) by Evgenia Jatskina and Alena Rubinstein.
In March the Croatian association Kids Meet Art was granted the title of Creative Ambassadors by the Croatian MEDIA Desk and the Ministry of Culture (Department Creative Europe). A great honour for ECFA members Edita Bilaver (President of Kids Meet Art) and Ivana Alpeza (Programme director).
Belgian ECFA member Loupiote was recently invited to the 3rd “Very Short Film Festival” in Marrakech, Morocco, not only to present a short film and to be on the jury, but also to do a workshop with Moroccan school children.
