Swiss film education organisations will from now on be able to share experiences with European colleagues and join them in common actions, thanks to the approval of a new budget by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, supporting participation in film education projects funded by Creative Europe.

With Nordic Star, the BUFF Film Festival (Malmö, Sweden) awards three young actors in recognition of outstanding acting achievements in films screened at the festival.
Even with the 31st edition of the Ciné Junior Festival being postponed, juries were able to decide about their favourite films. Like the documentary ACASA, MY HOME, collecting two awards.

Generation Z introduces youngsters with an interest in the moving image to cinema as a means of discovering new talents. Stichting Oxville in Amsterdam, Kinograph in Brussels and La Friche/Cinéma Le Gyptis in Marseille join forces to create local cinema hubs in challenging districts with poor or non-existing cinema infrastructure.

In the 31st edition of the Tromsø Int’l Film Festival the outdoor Winter Cinema in the town’s main square was the perfect place to welcome children to unforgettable film experiences. As one of the regular festival venues, it now became the ultimately safe place to gather in front of the big screen and enjoy films together.

LuxFilmFest is delighted to announce that audiences have returned to cinemas for this year’s hybrid edition (featuring online and in person cinema screenings). The festival presented an exquisite children & youth section, in which the Canadian feature ANTIGONE excelled with two awards.
“You can still recognise what is a Trabant, a Wartburg or a Skoda” East Germany, 1989. Nothing foretells the socio-political revolution that is around the corner. Twelve-year-old Fritzi is occupied by more important matters, taking care of her best friend Sophie’s dog Sputnik, while Sophie’s family is on vacation. After the holidays, when Sophie still hasn’t returned, Fritzi and Sputnik set out in search of her. A postcard from West Germany puts her on the right track.
