THE DAY MY FATHER BECAME A BUSH wins ECFA Award at JEFF


THE DAY MY FATHER BECAME A BUSH, the Dutch film by Nicole van Kilsdonk, is the first title on this year’s ECFA Award preselection list.
The film about Toda, a young girl trying to find her way through a country at war, was awarded at the JEFF Youth Film Festival in Belgium (Antwerp, Bruges, Kortrijk, Ghent), where the film also won the Audience Award. Members of the ECFA Jury were Justin Johnson (BFI), Kateřina Fojtová (Zlín Filmfestival), Gertjan Willems (professor in Cinema & Media Studies) and Boris Van Severen (Flemish actor).
