CLOUDBOY, the Belgian-Swedish coproduction by Meikeminne Clinckspoor, seems to be the talk of the town in the European festival circuit. The film convinced the ECFA Jury at the Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival.
Twelve-year-old Niilas has been living with his father for as long as he remembers. He is quite reluctant to spend the summer in Swedish Lapland with his mother, whom he barely even knows. But once he is expected to give a helping hand in the yearly reindeer migration, this summer might just turn out much more adventurous than he ever expected.
Members of the Kristiansand ECFA Jury were Remke Oosterhuis (De Taartrovers, The Netherlands), Kristine Simsone (Riga IFF, Latvia) and Eszter Vuojala (Oulu Children & Youth Film Festival, Finland).
