Deadline approaching for Open Forum BIKY (South-Korea)

Since 2011, the Busan Int’l Kids & Youth Film Festival (BIKY – see presentation here) has engaged in a yearly film education forum and seminar. From this year on BIKY is broadening its horizon, launching the first international ‘Open Mic’ Forum, with an agenda that is open to the public.

Jun OH (Education Team Manager): “We’d like to check the current status of media literacy and collect ideas to face the future with confidence. It will be interesting to confront the Korean education process with examples from our international network.” The Open Mic Forum fits into the main philosophy of BIKY, the biggest children & youth film festival in Asia.

BIKY invites international professionals to actively participate with creative input. “All of you can add your ideas to the Open Forum’s agenda! Come and discuss with us how to improve the quality of media education, both in Asia and in Europe.Submit your ideas now and join the forum later. Deadline for submissions is 24 April! You might just receive a free invitation to the forum later in May. Under the current circumstances, BIKY can’t yet communicate the final date of the event. Detailed information will be issued at a later date (keep an eye on the ECFA website).

The Open Forum will be hosted by BIKY, in partnership with UNESCO ‘Creative City of Film Busan’.
