Cinemira on track

The Cinemira Int’l Children’s Film Festival (Budapest) is working full force to keep on track in challenging times. Not only are they ready to launch a new festival edition, they also introduce an ambitious new project, the ‘Cinema Children & Youth Film Pitch’.

 

The first edition of the Cinemira – Children’s & Youth Film Script Pitching Forum was organised successfully on 25 September in Budapest, giving local authors the opportunity to pitch film projects to directors, producers and creative partners. Alongside, the second edition of ‘Tales to the Screen’ introduced professional filmmakers to the best-selling Hungarian children & youth literature. Organiser Nora Lakos: “In that way we’re trying to open doors for possible feature film or television adaptations.

On 24 & 25 October Cinemira celebrates its 3rd festival edition, where audiences can enjoy a variety of shorts and animations and a selection of recent award-winning European children’s features (such as MY BROTHER CHASES DINOSAURS, SPREAD YOUR WINGS, and FRITZI: A REVOLUTIONARY TALE). Many films in competition might challenge local audiences (4-14 years) with important subject matter.
