ECFA Awards in Filem’on

The Filem’on Festival in Brussels each year has the gathering of two ECFA Juries: one for shorts and one for doc’s. Participating in this year’s ECFA Juries were Franzeska Ferdinand (Int. Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany), Joris Van Dael (KidsCam, Belgium), Jitendra Mishra (Smile Foundation, India), Julia Jarl (BUFF Festival, Sweden) and Felix Vanginderhuysen (ECFA, Belgium).

Every day after school, 10 year old Romy reluctantly stays with her grandma, who works as a hairdresser and has her own salon. Grandma Stine, stiff and strict, has no time for her granddaughter. Until Romy realises that grandma often is messing things up. Gradually they grow closer while Romy is helping her with the new cash register. ROMY’S SALON is a heart-felt story about a grandchild standing strong when grandma is showing symptoms of dementia.

Weimar Declaration online

One outcome of the recent KIDS Regio Forum in Weimar was a strong demand for both networking platforms ECFA and KIDS Regio to work even closer together. This incentive, pushed forward by the more than 80 participants, was warmly welcomed by all ECFA representatives.
