Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival in Poznan/Poland: Golden Goats to South Korea’s “The World of Us”, ECFA Award to “My Life as a Zucchini”

The Golden Goats award decided by the international jury for the best feature film for children received the film “The World of Us” directed by Yoon Ga-eun (South Korea, 2016). ECFA’s jury gave their award to the French-Swiss Co-Production “My Life as a Zucchini” by Claude Barras (2016).

The Golden Goats award for the best feature for young people went to “Alias Maria”, directed by José Luis Rugeles (Colombia, Argentina, France, 2015).

The children’s jury gave their Marcinek-feature-film award to Lola Doillon for her film “Fanny’s Journey” (France & Belgium, 2016). The jury of young people dedicated their Marcin award to “The Half” by Çagil Nurhak Aydogdu (Turkey, 2015). The arthouse cinema network has chosen “At Eye Level” by Evi Goldbrunner & Joachim Dollhopf (Germany, 2016) as their best film, while the teachers’ jury voted for “The Trap” by Jayaraj Rajasekharan Nair (India, 2015) with a special mention for “My Life as a Zucchini”.

The audience voted for “Casper and Emma on Safari” by Arne Lindtner Næss (Norway, 2015) and “The Amazing Wiplala” by Tim Oliehoek (The Netherlands, 2014) as their favourites.

The organizers of Ale Kino! gave their award to Michael Caton-Jones for his film “Urban Hymn” (Great Britain, 2016).
