In 2018 the Ministry for Culture and Science North Rhine-Westphalia will promote a new fellowship, dedicated to the development of documentaries for children or youth.
The focus is on the support of filmmakers living in or working on a project in North Rhine-Westphalia. The solicitation and awarding will be undertaken by the Filmbüro NW and doxs!, the festival for children and youth documentaries. Applications are welcome until August 31, 2018.
In October, an independent jury will decide on the submissions. Selected artists will receive €1,500 monthly, for half a year. In addition to that, the funding includes a visit to the doxs! festival as well as project related material and travel expenses. doxs! hopes that this fellowship will facilitate the development of artistic documentary films for young people through individual support, offered to filmmakers.
