Frankfurter Buchmesse awards adaptation for young audience

Since 2004, the prestigious Frankfurter Buchmesse (October 10-14th) annually honours outstanding literary adaptions for the big screen with the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards. From this year on, the Buchmesse launched a new award: the Best Adaption of a Book for Children or Young Adults. The winners are chosen by a committee of international film and media experts. ECFA member Signe Zeilich-Jensen (Dutch Film Fund) joined the committee as young audience cinema expert.

The submission process for the Best Adaption of a Book for Children or Young Adults is now open. Here you’ll find the call for submissions. Film projects that may be submitted
• are based on a book for children or young adults
• were or are being produced during the current year and/or will be released not later than six months after the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2018.

Submission deadline: July 20th 2018.
