Notes/description: DOK Leipzig is the oldest festival for documentary and animation film in the world and unique in offering this combination. It is guided by the values of diversity, human dignity, inclusion and peace. The festival presents about 200 artistically outstanding, socially relevant films, XR experiences and provides space for dialogue and debate.
The festival’s Kids DOK programme gathers films for everyone 3+ who is in the mood for funny and thought-provoking viewing experiences. For the youngest, the festival shows short animated films, for older kids DOK Leipzig presents animations and topical documentaries about the everyday and the unusual that make the worlds of children and young people tangible.
