Synopsis:
Ringside looks at one of Chicago’s more troubled South Side neighborhoods from the point of view of two young boxers and their families.

Kenny Jr. and Destyne Jr. started out as the most talented teenage boxers in Chicago, but over time their paths diverged. Now, as one signs with a major promoter, begins winning his first professional bouts and moves his family out of Englewood, the other has been convicted of a felony and is entering a four-month prison boot camp program before he is paroled and can begin training to compete in the 2016 Olympic games. The Punch explores the many similarities and differences in the lives of these two young men, whose fortunes have gone in such radically different directions over the past five years.
