Rose on Tour – Truth Never Lies

Original title: Rosa – The Movie
German title: Rosa auf Welttournee
Sweden, 2007

Director: Lindwall, Manne
Production company: Svensk Filmindustri
Age recommendation: 14 years and up

Synopsis:
14-year old Rosa is a cheered pop star who travels the world and gives sold out concerts in front of her enthusiastic fans. In the course of a sun-flooded week at summer camp, Rosa learns a lot about dwindling friends, broken hearts and how a little lie can have big consequences. But first and foremost she learns about how powerful love can be. The role Rosa is based on a popular Swedish comic and TV series, in which Rosa is even younger, her career just the dream of a budding teenager. Director Manne Lindwall has allowed the character to age for this costly feature film version of the Rosa series, and has made the dream of many 14-year-olds come true. “Rosa: The Movie” has been made with a high level of craftsmanship and in a charming and cheeky manner tells of the traps of early stardom and of first true love. The film was a great success with young audiences in Sweden at the start of the year.
