EFA and ECFA have been closely cooperating in anticipation of the EFA Young Audience Award. Ten ECFA member festivals (in Bucharest, Chemnitz, l’Aine, Amsterdam, Pyrgos, Giffoni, Zlin, Poznan, Kristiansand and Malmö) have all nominated one title for the EFA shortlist – the Olympia festival even assigned a special jury for this occasion! From which a committee will select the 3 final candidates, all suitable for a 12-15 years old target group.
ECFA is also well represented in this selection committee. Out of the five committee members, Michael Harbauer (Schlingel), Selma Mehadzic (Kinokino), Hilde Steenssens (Filem’on) and Marta Nieto Postigo (Drac Magic) all have a clear ECFA background. Bettina Schwarz, EFA’s spokesperson for the Young Audience Award, has a strong belief in EFA’s partnership with ECFA, about which we will keep you well informed.
