
Four days of pitching and conference presentations, multiple possibilities for networking, accompanying programmes such as Kids Kino Lab, Producers LINK, and Young Talents,… were a lot to cover within a short amount of time. But new connections, ideas and inspirations are worth a few sleepless nights. The Kids Kino Industry international co-production forum took place on 27-30 September in Warsaw and online. Time to line up some results…


How do you set up an international film workshop in Denmark and invite young people from Scandinavia for a week? Lise-Lotte Bjørkholt and Kirsten Østergaard Nielsen from the board and International Group of DaBUF (organisation for Danish Children & Youth Filmclubs) had the intention, but not the experience. With the help of Judith Breuning (Filmfabrikken Møn filmschool), which had set up a similar camp in 2014, they made it happen… and wrote a report.
The 10th edition of the CEE Animation Forum will take place in a hybrid format from 2-4th November and will showcase 48 animated projects in four categories: feature films, shorts, series/TV specials and student films.
The aim of the Kids Kino Docs programme is to support the development of documentary works for young audiences, thus contributing to the growing popularity of the genre.

The Workshop Warehouse has become a brand! With this ‘market’ for hands-on workshops in 2023 ECFA will take the next step in the dissemination of initiatives in the field of media literacy. The only question was: where and when will this Warehouse open its doors? That has now been decided.
The Zlin Film Festival is the one and only brave event insisting on serving its ECFA Jury exclusively feature documentaries. The programming procedure is tough, but according to the Jury there was one title that stood head and shoulders above the rest, GABY, BETWEEN AGES 8 TO 13 (Engeli Broberg, Sweden).
