Synopsis:
Lucky Hans And His Golden Journey (based on the fairy tale by the Grimm brothers) Hans decides to return home after spending seven years as an apprentice with a miller. The miller rewards him with a big nugget of gold which the beautiful miller's daughter wraps in her red cloth. On the way back to his parents' home, Hans meets a man on a horse and decides to exchange the nugget for the horse because he is tired of dragging the heavy gold along. Hans rides against his will into a wedding party and lands between the horns of a cow. The next exchange is thus perfect. But when the cow doesn't produce any milk and instead chases Hans into a pond, he exchanges the animal for a pig, then the pig for a goose and the goose for two grinding stones. And he loses them down a well. He arrives back at his parents empty-handed, but healthy and full of the joys of life - and starts thinking about the pretty miller's daughter again ... (German Cinema)
