Synopsis:
Schönwalde II is a district of the city of Greifswald, Eastern Germany. Schönwalde II was built in 1974 as a developing area with its industrialized apartment blocks for the workers of the nuclear power plant in Lubmin. However, the power plant was shut down in 1992. Ever since, Schönwalde II has suffered from a state of high unemployment which is dominating the lives and perspectives of the local families to the present day.
Fifteen-year-old Jenny his forced to leave her home in Frankfurt to move to Schönwalde II as the result of her father's death, but revolts with the defiant and confident energy of a teenager against the omnipresent lack of perspective. Lost between the bleak concrete buildings, she slowly starts to open herself up to the new environment, make friends, and is finally forced to reach a decision for herself to find her place.
