One outcome of the recent KIDS Regio Forum in Weimar was a strong demand for both networking platforms ECFA and KIDS Regio to work even closer together. This incentive, pushed forward by the more than 80 participants, was warmly welcomed by all ECFA representatives.
In the elegant city of Weimar, representatives from 24 countries attended the 3rd KIDS Regio Forum, to draw up a state of affairs of the children’s film industry, with particular attention to options and possibilities for the future. This gathering resulted in the Weimar Declaration, a summary of future strategies and steps to be taken.
A printed booklet with the outcome of the conference will be published during the Cinekid Festival, where KIDS Regio and the Netherlands Film Fund will host a table at the Industry Forum. Here a special focus will be placed on facts and figures about children’s film in Europe, through the presentation of three recent studies, one conducted on behalf of the Netherlands Film Fund, one by the Thessaloniki Film Festival and one by KIDS Regio.
A conference movie and trailer are currently in the making and can soon be viewed on the KIDS Regio website.
