Notes/description: This nearly 50-year-old event is the world’s only biennial dedicated exclusively to animation for children. Its close collaboration with ASIFA-Hollywood Vice President and Annie Awards Executive Director Frank Gladstone (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King) led to the Biennial’s Grand Prix winner nomination for the 52nd Annie Awards as Best Short Subject. The 2024 month-long Biennial screened in 13 cities, impacting 50,000 children and schools nationwide, with award nominees seen by kids simultaneously in 11 cities. The Biennial includes workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, special events and an international forum for industry leaders and students.
