Synopsis:
Little Peter has been raised by his grandparents ever since his parents emigrated to Vienna. They want Peter to join them but have trouble using the proper government channels. Peter thus thinks up various ways to cross the border, making the commander of the border guards increasingly frustrated. But a gang of toughs who enjoy picking on weaker kids is his bigger problem. Among those who on Peter’s side are a “slow” classmate and a very likeable girl who inspires him to fi ght the bad guys. At the end of the 1960s, conditions dramatically change in his country and his dreams of crossing the border finally come true, but this will mean losing his grandparents, friends and unforgettable adventure...
