Synopsis:
Don Kerbosch is smart, pugnacious and a damn good soccer player. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. After his expulsion from school he ends up in a school full of migrants, which brings him over night into the unfamiliar position of an outsider. The everyday life at school puts the former superhero to a hard test, since his fellow students make things difficult for him. A student soccer championship seems to bring about a change. Don’s ambition is arisen and he tries to turn sworn enemies into a successful soccer team. That is not easy at all ...
Once more the school is the space in which cultures collide and sports make way to cope with a conflict when words fail.

Raw and intense youth film about a bunch of soccer playing kids in the first year of high school.

Comments:
Director’s statement
“DON has become the film that I would have loved to see, when I was eleven. At the time there was nothing remotely like it. I hope this film will become special to a lot of 10 to 14 year olds. Because it’s in their world, with kids from their street, and it could be in their school yard. It’s a film full of pushing and shoving, football, and a kiss. It’s also a story about courage and honesty, and fighting for things that are worth fighting for”.
