Two of the most significant industry initiatives in children’s film have recently launched their calls for the next edition. Cinekid (Amsterdam) invites you for the Script LAB & Junior Co-Production Market; the Young Horizons Co-production Forum (Warsaw) is looking for feature films and TV series for young audiences.
Cinekid Script LAB 2024-25
Cinekid is awaiting applications for the 11th edition of the Script LAB, in which an international group of writers will develop features or series. The six month-programme includes a tailor-made trajectory of training and coaching with peer support, starting in Amsterdam (October 2024) and ending after the Berlinale (February 2025).

Junior Co-Production Market
Producers with a children’s series or feature project either in development or at a work in progress stage are invited to apply to pitch and take one-on-one meetings with industry professionals.

Young Horizons Industry Int’l Co-production Forum for Films & Series for Young Audiences
The Forum will welcome full-length films and series for young audiences, at various stages of development and production with a simple goal: to help creators connect with potential partners and form partnerships. 20 projects (live-action, animated, documentary, transmedia) will be presented to more than 300 international guests in three sections: In Development, Work in Progress, Market Presentation. Each presentation will be completed by a Q&A session with experts and individual meetings with producers, sales agents, distributors or broadcasters.
Submitted projects will be selected by an expert committee.

Young Horizons Festival
The festival is looking for completed short or full-length films for audiences aged 4–16 years.

The 8th Int’l Co-production Forum (30 September – 2 October) will take place in Warsaw and online, as a part of the Young Horizons Int’l Festival (28 September – 6 October). In addition to project presentations, the event includes panel discussions, workshops, training programmes for emerging producers and film students, and script and marketing consultations. Both events are organised by Young Horizons, a key branch of the New Horizons Association.
