Synopsis:
11-year old Clara lives with her mother, her stepfather and her little brother on a remote farm in the Swiss alps. To Clara, nature means a lot – as well as the local legends and myths which kept their peculiar strength to this day. The discovery of an ancient girl’s shoe gets Clara in touch with Susanna, a girl of the same age that lived on the farm over two centuries ago. When bears – who were believed dead – show up in the region, the village people’s blood is stirred up and an old curse, burdening the village ever since a bloody deed a long time ago, reawakes.
Clara and Susanna try to redress the destabilized balance and fight together against the threatening danger – today and in the past.
