To promote the vitality of the contemporary Czech animation scene, the Zlin Festival has acquired the rights to 21 short animated films, the best that the animated film market has had to offer in recent years. From this selection, exhibitors can curate their own programme – free of charge! With this initiative, the Zlin Festival is targeting not only (ECFA) festivals worldwide but also film schools, cultural institutions, embassies, and educational organisations.
This collection of titles, carefully curated by the Zlin Festival, features works by both established filmmakers and emerging talents from leading Czech film schools, combining new productions with acclaimed festival favourites, in various animation styles and techniques. It goes without saying that these titles address a diverse, young audience and often come without dialogue.
