On 27th August 2025, the four Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, the Czech and Slovak Republics) will host the International Day of Audiovisual Education, spotlighting the importance of audiovisual education for young audiences. This event is dedicated to everyone shaping the field of film & media education, from teachers, lecturers, and educators to institutions, cultural centres, and media professionals.
Expect a friendly, informal atmosphere with inspiring international guests, opportunities to connect, and plenty of space for open exchange. The day will showcase hands-on examples of good practice and tested educational methodologies from across the V4 region – all with a strong focus on audiovisual education and production for young audiences.
The initiative is led by krutón (Czechia), in close partnership with the National Film Institute – Film Archive (Hungary), the Wajda Film Centre (Poland), and Kino Úsmev (Slovakia). More information is coming soon on the websites and social media channels of the organising partners.
The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through the Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
