The Film Corner – a European initiative of Fondazione Cineteca Italiana, co-financed by the EU—is a free, multilingual digital platform designed for students aged 11–18 and their teachers. Rooted in the “three Cs” of film literacy (Critical, Creative, Cultural), it offers an accessible environment for understanding cinema as a language and cultural practice, while introducing basic creative skills.
With over 1,100 collected questionnaires, the data shows that the platform effectively supports learning in key areas: 60–63% of users reported improved skills in image analysis and narrative understanding, and 59% showed higher interest in film as an art form. These findings confirm that the platform can serve as a useful resource for educators seeking structured, curriculum-related tools.
The platform shows solid educational value and clear learning gains, though its impact would be strengthened by improving technical performance and usability. In this sense, The Film Corner stands as a meaningful and promising resource when used alongside broader media-education strategies.
