Nicole van Kilsdonk’s latest film „The Day My Father Became a Bush“ (The Netherlands, Belgium & Croatia, 2016) received the ECFA Award at the KINOdiseea International Children’s Film Festival in Bucarest.
(22.11.2016) The professionals’ jury has chosen „Blanka“ by Kohki Hasei (Italy & Japan, 2015) as best film for children with a special mention for „At Eye Level“ by Evi Goldbrunner & Joachim Dollhopf (Germany, 2016). The children’s jury awarded „Abulele“ by Jonathan Geva (Israel, 2015), the audience voted for „Jill and Joy’s Winter“ by Saara Cantell (Finland, 2015) as best film for children.
As best film for young people the professionals’ jury has awarded ex aequo „Sing Street“ by John Carney (Great Britain, 2015) and „My Name is Emily“ by Simon Fitzmaurice (Ireland, 2015). Their discovery award the jury has given to „The Trip We Took With Dad“ by Anca Miruna Lazarescu (Romania & Germany, 2016).
The jury of young people has chosen „The Trip We Took With Dad“ as their favourite with a special mention to „Lena Love“ by Florian Gag (Germany, 2016). The audience award in the category films for young people received „The Pitch“ by Eduard Bordukov (Russia, 2015).
