Kante Producciones is an independent Spanish film production company, founded in 2021 by Diego Martín Pérez, a musician with more than 30 years of professional experience and a lifelong passion for cinema. His artistic journey has shaped the company’s identity, built around a strong commitment to cinematic quality and to creating works with a distinctive authorial vision.
Following the release of two feature films and one short, Kante Producciones is now entering a new stage with Kante Films, a creative space from which to continue developing projects with their own identity and with a particular focus on cinema for children and young audiences. “We believe that cinema can protect and nurture imagination, foster curiosity and open the door to new ways of seeing the world. We aim to develop inclusive stories with social relevance and diverse characters that move, inspire and contribute, from an early age, to building a more empathetic, open and respectful society,” says Diego Martín Pérez.
As an independent production company in Spain, Kante faces many of the same challenges as other emerging companies: securing sustainable financing, accessing international co-productions, and developing projects with international potential. Kante believes that building international partnerships is essential for independent cinema to grow, reach new audiences, and achieve greater cultural and social impact.
