Teens & Screens 2025 is the fourth annual research report from the Center for Scholars & Storytellers (UCLA). It surveyed 1,500 adolescents aged 10–24 across the United States. This comprehensive study explores how young people engage with entertainment media today, including films, TV, streaming platforms, video games, and social media, and their expectations of the stories created for them.
By combining quantitative data with open-ended responses, the report provides valuable insights into how young people use media to build their identities, create communities, and navigate their emotional needs. Conducted annually, Teens & Screens offers an evolving evidence base to support storytellers, producers, and industry stakeholders seeking to connect authentically with Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
