Kids Kino Industry Talks joins forces with JEF and Wanda, a Belgian collective of female film creatives to bring you a special talk about the importance of diversity and creating diverse stories for a young audience: “Beyond stereotypes – Creating diverse stories for a young audience” on 15th February!
There is a notable shift in representation of minority groups and gender to be noticed in children’s media as diversity matters stronger than ever. But we can still do better in representing all parts of our society. How do we achieve authentic diversity in order to avoid stereotypes? Our invited guests will delve into what true inclusivity means, where does it start and how we implement it in our children’s programmes, in a webinar hosted by Kids Kino Industry, JEF and Wanda. The event is scheduled for 15th February, 15:00–16:00 CET.
Save the date for moderated discussions and presentations by producers of young audience content like Geert Torfs (SIR MOUSE) and Charlie Dewulf (MARIT & THE MAXIMARKET, BRAK), content experts (Hanan Challouki from the Inclusify agency and webseries wtFock) and the Flanders Audiovisual Fund.
Hosts of the event are Katarzyna Janiak & Viola Gabrielli (Kids Kino Industry) at New Horizons Association.
