Winner of the ECFA Award in the BUFF International Film Festival (Malmö, Sweden) is HEARTSTRINGS, directed by Michel Boujenah (France / Belgium, 2016).
Marie (12 years old) and her friend Victor are in a way both blinded: Marie is suffering from an eye disorder (but she didn’t tell anybody about it), while Victor is blinded by love for his best friend. Carefully Victor tries to become ‘Marie’s eyes’ while she tries to conceal just how far her illness has progressed.
