Within the framework of the festival (24th October–3rd November) the 2nd Filem’on, based in Brussels, organises its yearly European Exchange to encourage professionals in the field of young audience cinema to reflect and discuss. The main topic of this year’s debates will be: Language challenges in media literacy, film production and distribution for young audiences.
This problem will be tackled by workshops, hands-on sessions and presentations by several representatives, like Vincent Lucassen (Under The Milky Way – Young Audience Award films on a Dutch VOD platform), Gloria Morano (Luxembourg City Film Festival – facing the challenges of programming in a multilingual country), Nia Ciadog (producing Welsh children’s series in dual languages) and Metsamarja Aittokoski (PIKKULI is a Finnish animated series without dialogue). Filem’on is looking forward to welcoming you all.
