Exciting upcoming titles from Dutch Features

Sales agent Dutch Features recently acquired rights for three young audience productions-in-the-making.

– LILITH & THE GHASTLY BROTHERS is a fantasy adventure by debuting directors/ brothers Michael & Andrew Van Ostade (picture above). When meeting the Ghastly Brothers, Lilith is absorbed into a world of ghosts and ghouls. This Belgian/Dutch co-production will be shot this winter.

– The thriller CONTAINED is based on the successful book trilogy THE CHILDREN OF FIRN by Lena Ollmarks. When renovating a school basement, builders discover a hidden classroom behind a brick wall. Here, in 1918, a group of children disappeared without a trace. Frightening events spur three youngsters to investigate the case. Currently in development, the film by Olof Spaak will target a 10-12 year old audience. MINT (Sweden) co-produces with Filmbin (Norway).

– SIHJA (estimated release: late 2020 – see picture) will target a 7-12 year old audience with a story about Sihja the cheeky fairy and an eccentric boy named Alfred. Both will have to overcome their fears in order to save their environment. This Finnish/Dutch/Norwegian co-production is directed by Marja Pyykkö.

Dutch Features CEO Pim van Collem: “We have been following these three titles from the very beginning and are proud to be representing such exciting European young audience features.
