Synopsis:
Kwetsuren follows best friends Joy and Hanne in their final year of primary school. Although they achieve the same score on their secondary school placement test and dream of attending the same high school, Hanne receives a VWO recommendation while Joy is advised to attend HAVO. As Joy becomes increasingly aware of the subtle forms of racism and inequality woven into everyday life, Hanne struggles to understand her experiences. The growing disconnect puts their close friendship under strain
