Synopsis:
While the first guests begin to arrive downstairs for her mother’s photo exhibition, 14-year-old Juul decides it’s high time for a new look. With a freshly self-cut short hairdo, she braves the exhibition – only to discover that her mother has chosen to display the most girly picture of her.
Comments:
Kris van Melle’s graduation film explores the gap between how we see ourselves and how others see us. Juul’s mother only wants her daughter to show what a beautiful girl she is. But how do you tell your mother she’s got it all wrong?
