Synopsis:
The film Knerten is all about a tough, naughty, quick-witted and brave boy. Lillebror has just moved, and has not made any new friends yet, when his imaginary friend – the wooden twig Knerten – appears in the middle of a pile of firewood. When Lillebror’s mum gets a job in a store while Dad is out travelling as an underwear salesman, Lillebror has to manage on his own most of the day. With Knerten in his hand, he encounters a new everyday life filled with excitement and drama. But can a pine twig be a real friend – and can the family afford to stay in the run-down house? The film Knerten is based on the first book in Anne Cath Vestly’s classical children’s book series about Lillebror and Knerten.
