Synopsis:
How do girls fare in an increasingly restrictive world? In “Girls Don't Cry” we learn about the longing of 6 girls for a self-determined life in freedom, their desire to fall in love, without paternalism, without foreign power over their own bodies, with equal rights.
We experience how they deal with the crisis of puberty, their self-confident decisions in difficult situations, their courageous fight against brutal traditions such as circumcision, against social constraints and pressure, against beauty mania and prejudice, even in the face of trauma and loss.
