Interviews with filmmakers in the ECFA Journal often stress the importance of script labs and training modules organised by several European industry organisations. As Klemen Dvornik (BLOCK 5) said in an ECFA interview: “The Cinekid Script and Producers’ lab has greatly helped us to take steps forward. Such opportunities have boosted our confidence.” For all filmmakers whose confidence needs an extra boost, the call for entries for Cinekid’s industry initiatives is now open.
The Cinekid Script LAB is looking for kids series and feature film projects in development that are either live-action, animation or documentary The programme offers tailor-made coaching and training for an international group of writers and writer/directors, under the guidance of specialised coaches. The trajectory – six months in total – includes two workshop weeks (one during Cinekid in Amsterdam in October, and one during the Berlinale).
Entry deadline is May 25.
